Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal This course aims to provide aerodrome rescue and fire fighting services personnel with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to handle aerodrome emergency effectively in accordance with Airport Emergency Plan, Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Services Manual and Standard Operating Procedure. Learning Objectives • On successful completion of the course the participants should be able to: • - Provide preparedness for rescue and fire fighting operations; • Manage rescue and fire fighting operation. Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Preparedness for Rescue and Firefighting Operation • Module 2 : Emergency Operation Handling Primary Target Population Rescue and Fire Fighting Officers. Secondary Audience: ATS personnel, ground handlers, flight dispatchers, city fire fighters, difficult terrain rescuers, technical personnel from airlines and paramedics. Entry Requirements • The primary target population should be current or projective Rescue and Fire Fighting Officers. • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
