Goal This course aims to provide staff of Civil Aviation Authorities (Oversighting Authorities) with knowledge, skills and attitudes required to provide Safety Oversight of Facilities, Systems and Services of ANS-AIS service providers, in accordance with international requirements and National Regulations Learning Objectives • Review State Safety Oversight Requirements • Plan ANS-AIS Surveillance activities • Conduct Surveillance on ANS-AIS Facilities/Systems and Services • Enforce ANS-AIS Regulations • Write ANS-AIS Inspection report • Manage ANS-AIS Oversight Documents Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Safety Oversight Requirements • Module 2 : Planning Surveillance Activities • Module 3 : Conducting Surveillance • Module 4 : Inspection Report • Module 5 : Enforcement of ANS-AIS Regulations • Module 6 : Management of ANS-AIS Oversight Documents Primary Target Population Officers of CAAs responsible for oversighting ANS-AIS Personnel assigned oversight duties of ANS AIS Systems. Secondary Audience: Aeronautical Information Service Officers with at least five years Training background in AIS experience as AIS Supervisors Senior ANS - AIS officers assigned duties in AIS operation stations (airports) Senior ANS -AIS Trainers. AIS officers/management within ANS-AIS service providers. Entry Requirements • Proficiency in English language (written and spoken) • A minimum of 5 years work experience in ANS-AIS Operations • Background knowledge in ANS-AIS Facilities/systems and Services
