Curriculum & Course Overview
Course Goal & Overview EASA Approved Airbus A320 Initial Type Rating course for holders of commercial pilot licences. Equips pilots with the technical knowledge, flight management systems mastery, and abnormal procedure handling to operate Airbus A320 family aircraft worldwide. Flight Hours & Phase Breakdown • Ground School: 80 hours instructor-led ground training, Performance & Systems CBT, and FMGS flight computer training. • Fixed Base Simulator (FBS): 16 hours FBS cockpit procedural training. • Full Flight Simulator (FFS): 32 hours Level D Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulator sessions (8 sessions of 4 hours as PF/PM). • Skill Test (LST): 4 hours EASA Part-FCL License Skill Test with authorized examiner. • Base Training (Optional): 6 take-offs and landings on real Airbus A320 aircraft. Admission & Entry Prerequisites • Valid EASA CPL(A) or ATPL(A) with Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME/IR). • Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate. • MCC Certificate of Completion. • ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher. Official Qualification & Award • EASA Airbus A320 Type Rating Endorsement on pilot licence.
