Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal This course will ensure that the knowledge and skills of the Aerodrome controllers are maintained and updated to effectively manage traffic in an aircraft emergency situation in accordance with KSA Air traffic services procedures section 29.12 & KSA GACAR Section 11 & 12. Learning Objectives • After successful completion of the course, participants will be able to; • Deal with Radio Communication Failure Aircraft • Control aircraft with Engine Failure/Fire/Smoke • Control Hydraulic Failure Aircraft • Control Bird Hit aircraft • Handle Crashed Aircraft Primary Target Population Civil Aviation personnel employed as Aerodrome Controllers Secondary Audience: All active ATCOs Entry Requirements • Trainee should; • -Have successfully completed an ab-initio Aerodrome Control Rating Course • -Possess Aerodrome Control rating • -Possess competency level 4 in the ICAO English Language proficiency requirements test.
