Curriculum & Course Overview

Goal The course provides Aircraft Maintenance Technicians/Engineers with the necessary competencies required to perform aircraft inspection effectively and efficiently in accordance with the ICAO Annex 8 "Airworthiness of Aircraft", ICAO Doc 9760 "Airworthiness Manual" and the applicable Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Section 2 of Ethiopian MRO Technical Procedures Manual. Learning Objectives • After successful completion of the course, participants will be able to: • • Prepare for Aircraft Inspection as per the AMM and TPM procedures. • Perform Aircraft Inspection by applying proper inspection techniques. • • Inspect Corrective Actions taken by following proper inspection techniques. • • Close out Inspection as per the AMM and TPM procedures. Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Preparation for Aircraft Inspection • Module 2 : Performing Aircraft Inspection • Module 3 : Inspecting Corrective Actions • Module 4 : Closing out Inspection Primary Target Population Aircraft Maintenance Technicians/Engineers with a minimum of three years’ experience. Secondary Audience: Aircraft Inspectors, Aircraft Maintenance Instructors, Aviation Maintenance Supervisors and Managers, Aviation Safety Managers and Auditors, CAA Inspectors. Entry Requirements • • Aircraft Maintenance Technicians/Engineers with at least the 3 years’ experience in maintenance or inspection areas. • • Good oral and written command of English language.
