Curriculum & Course Overview
Course Goal & Overview The Airline First Officer Programme (AFOP) is one of Europe's premier integrated airline pilot cadet schemes. Residential training at a purpose-built private aviation campus at Jerez International Airport with all-inclusive accommodation, meals, uniform, and airline partner placement pipeline (British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia, Vueling, easyJet). Flight Hours & Phase Breakdown • Ground School: 750 hours instructor-led ATPL classroom theory over 6 months with state-of-the-art CBT suites. • Flight Training Hours: 220 hours of total flight and flight simulation training. • Phase 1 (Single Engine Flying): 110 hours basic maneuvers and cross-country navigation on Piper PA-28 Archer DX (diesel/glass cockpit). • Phase 2 (Multi-Engine & Instrument): 45 hours on Diamond DA42 Twin Star with Garmin G1000 and FNPT II simulators. • Phase 3 (Advanced UPRT): Full FCL.745.A flight upset recovery curriculum on aerobatic aircraft. • Phase 4 (Jet Airline Transition): 40 hours Airline Pilot Standard MCC (APS MCC) on Level D B737-800 / A320 flight simulators. Admission & Entry Prerequisites • Minimum 17.5 years old to apply (18 to hold licence). • Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate. • High school diploma with strong mathematics and physics performance. • FTEJerez rigorous assessment on campus or online (Pilapt testing, group exercises, personal interview). Official Qualification & Award • EASA Frozen ATPL(A) & Dual UK CAA Licence option. • Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL/ME/IR) with PBN endorsement. • Advanced UPRT & APS MCC Certificates. • FTEJerez Airline Placement Service assistance with airline partners.
