Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal This course provides Air Traffic Controllers (Approach Surveillance) with the competencies required to effectively and efficiently control air traffic within Approach Terminal Control Area (TMA) in accordance with KSA ATSP, KSA Approach Control Manual and ICAO Doc 4444. Learning Objectives • After having successfully completed this course, the trainees will be able to: • · Operate surveillance equipment • Identify aircraft • · Provide separation between aircraft • Apply sequencing techniques between aircraft Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Surveillance Equipment • Module 2 : Aircraft Identification • Module 3 : Aircraft Separation • Module 4 : Sequencing Techniques Primary Target Population Air Traffic Controllers (Approach Surveillance) Secondary Audience: Civil Aviation personnel employed as Air Traffic Controllers (Aerodrome Controller, Area Controllers) Entry Requirements • Trainee should; • Have successfully completed Approach Control Surveillance Course • Have at-least one year experience as an active Air Traffic Controller • Possess competency level 4 in the ICAO English Language proficiency requirements tests.
