Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal The course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to manage and administer an air traffic control facility in accordance with ICAO standards and recommended practices, and local regulations. It is aimed at incumbent facility chiefs, deputy facility chiefs and senior managers. Learning Objectives • At the end of the course,given appropriate information, data, and documents, in an examination environment, successful participants will be able to: • Manage Air Traffic Services (ATS) systems; and, • Perform administrative tasks and duties in accordance with the Company documents, the Good Operating Practices (GOPs) nominated in the courseware, ICAO Doc 9859, and ICAO Annex 19. Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : MT 1 • Module 2 : MT 2 Primary Target Population The primary target population is incumbent ATC Facility Chiefs. The secondary target population: Deputy facility chiefs ATC shift supervisors Middle managers Senior managers Secondary Audience: State Regulatory nominated post holders. Individuals assigned to supervisory roles. ANS support roles involved in human resources support. Entry Requirements • ATCO license • Minimum 5 years work experience in an ANSP. • Recommended English language ability equal to an IELTS level 6.0 or greater; or ICAO ELP level 4 or above.
