Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal To impart the knowledge, skill and attitude to Air Traffic Services (ATS) personnel required to use ATC radio telephony in order to perform air traffic control duties as per the standard practices laid down in AAI MATS Part-1, ICAO Annex 10 Volume 2, DOC 4444, DOC 9432. Learning Objectives • On completion of this course the trainee will be able to: • i) Appreciate the meaning of ICAO ATC radio telephony terminologies and standard phraseologies. • ii) Use ICAO ATC radio telephony standard phraseologies. Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Applying Radiotelephony Transmission Techniques • Module 2 : Applying Radiotelephony Communication Procedures • Module 3 : Miscommunication in Radiotelephony Primary Target Population Air Traffic Services (ATS) personnel who are about to be assigned Air Traffic Control duties. Secondary Audience: Air Traffic Services (ATS) personnel who will be assigned duties as an assistant controller in an ATC unit. Entry Requirements • The candidate shall have minimum proficiency in English language of the level of 10+2 standard.
