Goal This course will provide aviation regulators and air operators with the competencies required to implement and conduct, and oversee the key components of an EDTO program, in accordance with the ICAO Standards and Doc 10085, Extended Diversion Time Operations (EDTO) Manual. Learning Objectives • At the end of this course, participants will be able to: • Describe EDTO requirements • Apply the EDTO process • Describe the relevant areas of aeroplane type design and reliability which support EDTO • Apply flight operation considerations supporting EDTO • Apply aeroplane maintenance considerations supporting EDTO • Apply EDTO continued surveillance oversight process Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : EDTO Foundation • Module 2 : Approval Process • Module 3 : Type Design & Reliability Considerations • Module 4 : Flight Operations Considerations • Module 5 : Maintenance Considerations • Module 6 : Continued Surveillance • Module 7 : Wrap Up Primary Target Population Regulator personnel from CAAs involved with EDTO approval and/or oversight, specifically: Flight ops and flight dispatch Inspectors Airworthiness Inspectors Air operator personnel conducting or contemplating EDTO, specifically: Flight ops and flight dispatch personnel Airworthiness personnel Secondary Audience: Other aviation industry personnel with an interest in EDTO.
