Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal This course aims to provide ATCOs with knowledge, skills and attitude required to handle and manage abnormal situations efficiently and effectively in accordance with national and international standard procedures. Learning Objectives • Upon successful completion of this course participants will be able: • Respond to abnormal situation notification • Take appropriate action in case of unusual situations • Take appropriate action in case of equipment degraded situation • Take appropriate action in case of emergency situation Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Respond To Abnormal Situation • Module 2 : Unusual Situation • Module 3 : Degraded Equipment • Module 4 : Emergency Situation Primary Target Population The training is most beneficial for: operational en-route and terminal control air traffic controllers (the primary population) ATS managers/ supervisors and the staff of the regulatory body, safety and training units (the secondary population) Airline pilots who are interested in joint training (optional) Secondary Audience: ATS managers/ supervisors and the staff of the regulatory body, safety and training units Entry Requirements • Air Traffic Controllers with Area Control Surveillance, Area Control Procedural, Approach Control Procedural and Approach Control Surveillance Rating.
