Curriculum & Course Overview

Goal This Course is aimed to equip Personnel from Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting, Airlines Staff, Cabin & Cockpit Crew, Ground Handling Agents, Cargo Handlers, Personnel employed in HAZMAT & DG Manufacturing Plants & Freight Forwarders with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes required to respond to a dangerous goods incident in a safe and effective manner in accordance with First Responders Guide to Hazmat Emergencies Learning Objectives • After successful completion of this Course, the Participants will be able to : • Appreciate the Classification of HAZMAT & Dangerous Goods • Identify the Labelling and placards of HAZMAT & Dangerous Goods • Perform basic control, containment, and/or confinement operations as a response to a Dangerous Goods incident • Prepare the Incident Report Primary Target Population Personnel working in (a)   Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (b)  Cargo Terminal (c)   Airline Operations (d)  Ground Handling Agencies Secondary Audience: Airlines Staff Cabin & Cockpit Crew State Police Services State Fire & Emergency Services Entry Requirements • Participant: • 1. Should have passed at least Senior Secondary School education • 2. Should be medically fit • 3. Should be able to read, write and speak English language
