Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal To prepare participants with the knowledge, skills and attitude required to create and maintain infrastructure and facilities at an airport to enable passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) to pass through airport in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with ICAO Annex 9 15th edition, October 2017, the rights of persons with disabilities act 2016, Government of India and DGCA India CAR Section 3- Air Transport series-M, part-1, issue-3. Learning Objectives • Identify the special needs of PRMs travelling through an airport • Establish infrastructure and facilities at appropriate locations as per standard • Maintain infrastructure and facilities • Manage PRMs service alignment programme Structure • 101/153/AGA PRM Standardized Training Package Primary Target Population - Airport Engineers who are responsible for creating and maintaining requisite infrastructure and facilities for PRMs. - Facilitation Managers who are responsible for ensuring smooth transit of PRMs through an airport Secondary Audience: - Airport planners who are involved in initial phase of planning. Entry Requirements • Airport Engineers with minimum 2 years of experience • Airport Facilitation Managers with minimum 2 years of experience • Airport Planners and Architects with minimum 2 years of experience
