Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal The goal of this course is to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the Risk Management Fundamentals and Applied Risk Management in Civil Aviation courses. Course participants are expected to develop and present a complete risk management implementation plan, framework/policy, and risk register template to help their organization to initiate or refine its risk management program. The course will be conducted as a series of virtual and individual group coaching sessions with the objective to ensure that all participants experience the initiation, planning, execution, and management of a realistic risk management program in line with each participant’s organizational goals. 2026 Launch The Course # 3 -Integrated Risk Management Capstone- will take place every Thursday from October 01 to October 29, 2026 , with live virtual sessions scheduled from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Montreal time) . A: Yes. A 15% discount is available for participants from Aviation Governmental Bodies and McGill University Students. Additionally, a 10% discount applies to regular participants who register for the full programme. Learning Objectives • Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to develop the following documents for their organization: • Risk management implementation plan with timelines • Enterprise risk management framework/policy, and • Risk Register with examples of risks specific to their organization. Primary Target Population Aviation professionals and managers from Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs), operations officers, safety analysts, heads of safety performance, airport managers and other professionals interested in developing and implementing Risk Management programs. Secondary Audience: Business leaders and professionals across all industries, particularly those interested in developing a systemic understanding of Risk Management and the benefits of its application in their respective organizations. Entry Requirements • Prior to registering for this course (the 3rd course of the Risk Management in Civil Aviation program) participants must complete: • Course 1* – Risk Management Fundamentals (for participants without prior formal education or professional experience in Risk Management) • Course 2 - Applied Risk Management in Civil Aviation course (for all participants) • *Participants with prior education and/or professional experience in Risk Management are not required to complete the Risk Management Fundamentals course.
