Curriculum & Course Overview

Goal The course provides bird and wildlife control specialists with the competencies required to effectively perform bird and wildlife hazard control in accordance with Order No. 323/2015 (amended in 2023) “Rules for Managing Hazards Created by Birds and Other Wildlife for Civil Aircraft Operations in the Republic of Kazakhstan” and Order No. 764 / 2013 (amended in 2025) “Standard Training Programs for Aviation Personnel Involved in Flight Safety Assurance”. Learning Objectives • Manage wildlife habitats; • Prevent hazardous bird and wildlife presence; • Ensure the effective implementation of the Wildlife Hazard Management Program (WHMP). Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Организационные аспекты управления опасностями, создаваемыми птицами и иными животными в аэропорту • Module 2 : Практические аспекты управления опасностями, создаваемыми птицами и иными животными в аэропорту Primary Target Population The primary target population includes airport bird and wildlife control specialists who perform, or will perform, duties related to the management of hazardous bird and wildlife presence. Secondary Audience: The secondary target population includes senior managers and coordinators responsible for the development, implementation, and effectiveness of the Wildlife Hazard Management Program, as well as aerodrome service personnel, aviation security personnel, flight safety inspectors, search and rescue service personnel, aviation training center (ATC) instructors, and other specialists involved in processes related to aviation safety management. Entry Requirements • Candidates must have at least a secondary education. No requirements regarding vocational, technical, higher, or higher-technical education, nor any work experience, are imposed on trainees. • Fluent in spoken and written Russian.
