Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal This course provides middle management level personnel in Civil Aviation Authorities and other public authorities, as well as aircraft and airport operators with the competencies to manage the implementation of Facilitation Standards and Recommended Practices, in accordance with ICAO Annex 9. Learning Objectives • Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to: • Examine the roles and responsibilities of the facilitation management stakeholders • Discuss Facilitation legal framework and latest developments related to Annex 9 and ICAO TRIP Strategy • Establish effective oversight, monitoring, compliance, and audit mechanisms for facilitation management • Implement coordinated, inter-agency facilitation strategies with efficiency considerations • Enhance coordination and cooperation among stakeholders involved in different passenger-related facilitation processes Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Introduction to Facilitation Management • Module 2 : What do Facilitation Managers need to know? • Module 3 : Oversight Mechanisms • Module 4 : Managing Effective Implementation Strategies • Module 5 : Managing the Passenger Journey Primary Target Population Middle management within Civil Aviation Authorities and border-control authorities involved in establishing and implementing the NATFP and NATFC. This could include: Customs Immigration Health Quarantine Visa-issuing authorities Travel document-issuing authorities and agencies responsible for disability affairs, foreign affairs, law enforcement Other Secondary Audience: Middle management level personnel in charge of facilitation activities, including aircraft operators, airport operators, ground handling agents. Entry Requirements • Successful completion of Annex 9 Facilitation course highly recommended.
