Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal To provide trainees with knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to competently carry out observation of the performance of ATCOs under normal operational. scenarios as regulated in Doc 9910 Normal Operations Safety Survey (NOSS) and Cir 314 TEM in ATC Learning Objectives • Upon successful completion of this course, trainees will get competencies to efficiently: • Manage of the NOSS methodology • Explain of where NOSS fits in safety management • Understand the TEM framework • Identify safety components in case studies • Manage observation reporting forms • Manage observation protocols • Identify of the locations and/or positions that will be observed to individual observers • Perform communication procedures with project manager • Manage logistics for observer as required Primary Target Population Personnel from the pool of qualified experienced air traffic controllers of ANSP Secondary Audience: Supervisors of ATC control room, Flow Control Unit and Data Analysts Entry Requirements • A minimum of three years’ experiences as active ATCO • The ability to read, speak, write and understand English (level4) • Professional credibility and trust • Analytical qualify • Open-mindedness • Sound judgement
