Operation and Maintenance of Mode S Surveillance System Equipment

Curriculum & Course Overview

Goal This course will provide ATSEP personnel with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to operate and maintain ModeS surveillance system equipment in accordance with a manufacturer standard Learning Objectives • Upon successful completion of the course, the participants will be able: • Manage ModeS surveillance system equipment; • Apply procedures of preventive maintenance of Mode S surveillance system equipment; • Apply procedures of corrective maintenance of Mode S surveillance system equipment. Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Введение в режим S • Module 2 : Управление оборудованием • Module 3 : Техническое обслуживание • Module 4 : Поиск неисправностей и ремонт Primary Target Population Primary Target Population: ATSEP who are currently assigned or are to be assigned to operate and maintain a ModeS surveillance system equipment. Secondary Audience: Secondary Target Population: supervisors and/or managers in the field of CNS/ATMsystems. Entry Requirements • Candidates should have operational experience as ATSEP (in surveillance domain) not less than one year or should be supervisors or managers in the field of CNS/ATM systems.
