Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal To provide personnel involved in the performance or oversight of safety risk mitigation projects with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to use specific safety risk mitigation tools in their safety management system in accordance with the organization’s HIRM SOP. Learning Objectives • Upon successful completion of this course, trainees will get competencies to efficiently: • -Develop proactive methodology for hazard identification • -Develop reactive methodology for hazard identification • -Develop predictive methodology for hazard identification • Establish Hazards and Risk Management Database • -Validate hazard information • -Activate SRM project for specific hazard • -Take SRM action Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Hazard Information Capture • Module 2 : Process Hazard Information and SRM Project Activation • Module 3 : SRM Action Primary Target Population Licensed staff, operational staff, operational support staff, safety regulatory inspectors who are involved in the performance or oversight of safety risk mitigation projects. Secondary Audience: SMS managers and the superiors of the staff involved in the performance or oversight of safety risk mitigation projects. Entry Requirements • 1. Have attended Safety Management System, or State Safety Programme, or Safety Management System Implementation, or equivalent safety courses. • 2. Have at least completed trade/technical/vocational training.
