Goal To impart the Air Traffic Controllers with the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to prevent miscommunication in radio telephony, as per the standard practices laid down in ICAO Annex 10 Vol. 2, DOC 4444 and DOC 9432. Learning Objectives • On completion of this course the trainee will be able to: • Explain the various factors involved in miscommunication in ATC radio telephony, • Identify the consequences of miscommunication in ATC radio telephony • Demonstrate improved communication in ATC radio telephony. Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Monitoring of radio telephony message • Module 2 : Identification of factors, threats and consequences • Module 3 : Corrective actions Primary Target Population Personnel who are assigned or about to be assigned Air Traffic Control functions. Secondary Audience: Personnel who are assigned or about to be assigned Air Traffic Control functions. Entry Requirements • Air Traffic Controller.
