Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal To provide Prospective Pseudo-Pilot for ATC simulator training with required knowledge, skills and attitudes to manage the preparation and the conduct of the Thales ScanSim pseudo-pilot position during 3D simulation exercises in accordance with Thales Pseudo-pilot User’s Manual and ScanStudio User’s Manual. Learning Objectives • Identify the operational architecture of the ScanSim 3D Simulator • Verify the operational status of ScanSim 3D Simulator • Prepare pseudo-pilot display for exercise delivery • Manage communications during the exercice • Conduct simulation activities during an exercise Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Module S1 • Module 2 : Module S2 • Module 3 : Module S3 • Module 4 : Module S4 Primary Target Population Prospective Pseudo Pilots for ATC/ATM Simulator who have completed training as Flight Data Processors, Air Traffic Controllers (with any rating: aerodrome, approach or enroute) or Pilots.” Secondary Audience: ATC Instructors ATC On-the-Job Training (OJT) Instructors ANS Training Managers ATC Quality Officers Entry Requirements • ICAO 051 Certificate or Private Pilot Ground School Certificate • Intermediate computer competency • Level 4 Proficiency in English
