Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal This course aims to provide Air Traffic Services Flight Information Officers with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes required to be able to provide the Aeronautical Flight Information Service (AFIS) to aircraft correctly and efficiently in accordance with Manual of Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB). Learning Objectives • Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to: • Provide flight information service for arrival traffic remotely. • Provide flight information service for departure traffic remotely. • Provide flight information service for overflight traffic remotely. (within the vicinity of airport) Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Remote AFIS for Arrival Traffic • Module 2 : Remote AFIS for Departure Traffic • Module 3 : Remote AFIS for Overflight Traffic Primary Target Population Air Traffic Service Information Officers who are working at Airport office to require Aeronautical Mobile Communication and Information Service rating Secondary Audience: Supervisors and other Aeronautical Mobile Communication and Information Service management personnel Entry Requirements • Have good command of language of instruction • High school graduates or equivalent • Participants should have general knowledge of AFIS
