Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal This course will provide managers within Civil Aviation Authorities or agencies with the competencies required to manage the State Safety Programme in their State in accordance with ICAO Annexes and applicable State rules. Learning Objectives • At the end of this course, participants will be able to: • Provide recommendations for the SSP legal and institutional framework • Develop an SSP implementation plan • Develop a strategy for safety promotion Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : SSP Legal Basis • Module 2 : SSP Design and Capacity • Module 3 : State Safety Promotion Primary Target Population Managers within Civil Aviation Authorities or agencies responsible for the State Safety Programme. Secondary Audience: Other personnel and stakeholders invested in the development of a State Safety Programme. Entry Requirements • Successful completion of ICAO Fundamentals of Safety Management online course • Good oral and written command of the English language • Computer literacy using contemporary software programs • College degree or equivalent qualifications and experience in civil aviation • Management experience in State’s CAAs
