Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal This course provides aviation safety inspectors with the competencies to conduct safety oversight functions in accordance with ICAO’s Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP). It prepares USOAP prospective auditors and ICAO Member States’ representatives to effectively perform on-site audit activities Learning Objectives • By the end of this course, participants will be able to: • Prepare for the pre-audit stage • Deliver a clear and concise daily debrief • Collect data and inputs to audit team leader for the draft report, as related to area of expertise • Deliver a clear and concise closing debrief • Demonstrate effective communication skills relevant to an auditor Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : The Preparation Phase • Module 2 : On-Site Phase • Module 3 : PQ Findings • Module 4 : ICAO Coordinated Validation Mission (ICVM) • Module 5 : Industry Visits and Closing Phase Primary Target Population · Prospective USOAP Auditors · Regional officers Secondary Audience: · Staff from State CAAs or RSOOs that are seeking an understanding of the USOAP auditing process Entry Requirements • Successful completion of USOAP audit CMA online course (Phase 1) plus1 specific audit area online course (Phase 2); • Sufficient level of experience as inspector; and • Previous involvement in USOAP activity at a State level
