Goal To impart to the surveillance air traffic controller with the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to minimize and control the incident of unstable approach as per standards and recommended practices laid down in Doc.4444 and Annex 11. Learning Objectives • On completion of this course the trainee will be able to: • Identify causes of unstable approach • Initiate action to prevent unstable approach Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Identification of Factors Leading to Unstable Approach • Module 2 : Preventive action for Unstable Approach Primary Target Population Air Traffic Controllers deputed for Approach Control duties. Secondary Audience: Nil. Entry Requirements • Air Traffic Controllers providing Approach Control Service.
