Curriculum & Course Overview

Goal This course aims to provide staff of Civil Aviation Authorities with the competencies to approve  Aviation Training Organizations within their States and monitor the requirements of the approval, based on the appropriate ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and national regulations. Learning Objectives • After successful completion of the course, participants will be able to: • Identify the tasks executed by CAA ATO Office; • Determine training activities that require ATO approval; • Evaluate ATO Documents; • Carry out Training Organization Approval Inspection; and • Issue the appropriate ATO approval documents. Structure • Module 0 : Introduction • Module 1 : Establishment of ATO Inspector office • Module 2 : Evaluation of ATO Documents • Module 3 : Inspection and Approval of Training Organizations Primary Target Population Officers of CAAs responsible to assess and approve ATOs Officers of CAAs responsible to perform continuous monitoring of ATOs Secondary Audience: Directors, Heads of Training, Quality Manager, and other management officers within training organization who need to understasnd CAA's requirements and process of ATO recognition. Training Managers of Aviation services providers who need to understand CAA's requirements and process of ATO recognition. Entry Requirements • Proficient in English language • Working experience in CAA or aviation training organization
