Curriculum & Course Overview
Goal The course provides Instructional Systems Design (ISD) validators with the competencies required to conduct validation of competency-based training courses in accordance with the ICAO Doc 9941, Training Development Guide (TDG). Learning Objectives • After successful completion of the course, participants will be able to: • Validate the methodology of a competency-based training course; • Validate the three stage reports of a competency-based training course; and • Evaluate the quality of the course materials. Primary Target Population Senior course developers in all training centres. Entry requirements for attending the VCT course are as follows: have completed ICAO Training Developers Course (TDC); have developed at least one Standardized Training Package (STP) and hold a valid ICAO Qualified Course Developer (IQCD) certificate. Secondary Audience: Personnel in civil aviation authority of States, responsible for managing and approving competency-based training.
